The new training centre is located in Honiton and the courses will have full accreditation by awarding body NICEIC. Several courses will be on offer, covering Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP), Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP), Exhaust Air Source Heat Pumps, Domestic Solar Hot Water and of course Underfloor Heating. These courses will be taking advantage of valves and fittings from Pegler Yorkshire when teachers and instructors give practical demonstrations of the correct methods of working. Training Centre Manager Guy Metcalfe said, “All our training courses will be NICEIC accredited and the GSHP and ASHP courses are already complete and I am just putting the finishing touches to the Underfloor Heating Course.” When putting practical courses of this nature together, it is essential to have the right products to demonstrate, as Guy explained, “I am a plumbing and heating engineer with over 25 years experience and I have been teaching plumbing, heating and renewable technology for the last 7 years.
